Over the past two weekends, we have been overwhelmed by alloy wheels, power door locks and of course, automatic sliding doors? If you have not figured out the buzz words, they all belong to cars that we have been exploring. Well, we only test drove 3 cars and not just passenger cars, but minivans. Dickens test drove them all and we narrowed our choices to two. The Honda and Toyota minivans.
The past Saturday, we went back to the Toyota dealership for another test drive and possibly start a negotiation. But we did not have any high hopes of landing any deal because we have already tried our magic number at one dealership and they basically told us sarcastically -- if you get it at THAT price, then I want 2. After hearing that comment, for sure we were going to get the same at Don Valley North Toyota. An hour later, we got the car for the price we went in with -- plus the freebies and a lifetime of car washes.
Countdown to Friday..as that is the day we will pick up the minivan. I am happy but still need time to accept the fact that we are now a minivan family.
As for the Civic...thank you for the memories. You brought home all three babies from the hospital, took us to many places and transported many people to/from the airport. We will miss seeing you on your side of the garage.
